The Most Beneficial Method of Remembrance Dhikr (Malfoozat of Shaykh al-Islam Hazrat Maulana Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani)
It was advised that a person should remain directed towards Allah at all times, whether walking, sitting, or moving about. Sometimes one should silently make a supplication, sometimes express gratitude for His blessings in their heart, sometimes seek refuge from Hell, and sometimes ask Allah for a need. In short, whatever need arises, the person should silently place it before Allah.
For example, when leaving the house, make a silent prayer: “O Allah, please make transportation easily available.” When sitting in the vehicle, pray: “O Allah, allow me to reach my destination safely and easily,” or “O Allah, grant me good company on this journey, and bless them in both their religious and worldly matters.” When passing by a hospital, silently pray for the recovery of all the patients. Upon seeing a poor person, silently ask Allah: “O Allah, fulfill their needs.” If feeling hot, pray silently, “O Allah, grant relief from this heat,” and in cold weather, pray similarly. If a pleasant breeze blows, silently thank Allah, and when it rains, thank Allah for the blessing of rain and pray to be protected from its harm. In short, continue to tell your needs to Allah at all times.
