Loving for the Sake of Allah: Mufti Taqi Usmani’s Guidance on Building Relationships Through Divine Love (Shaykh al-Islam Hazrat Maulana Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani)
It was advised that any love a person has should be for the sake of Allah. If a person loves their children, that love should also be for Allah. If a person loves their spouse, that love too should be for Allah. If a person loves their friends and relatives, it should also be for the sake of Allah.
At first, this may seem strange to us—that we should love our spouse, children, friends, and relatives for the sake of Allah—because we have not yet tasted this kind of love.
But those whom Allah Almighty fills with His love, every relationship and connection they establish is for the sake of Allah alone.
